The Agriculture Information Agency was established in 1961. Then, in 1980, this agency converted to the Agriculture Information Service (AIS). The head office and its 11 regional offices provide agriculture-related services all over the country. Information for the Applicant
- The authority will call the candidates who will be qualified for written and practical (if applicable) examinations for the VIVA.
- The candidates have to show the main copies of all certificates.

Agriculture Information and Communication Center (AICC)
The AIS set up 499 agriculture and communication centers at village level. This center started to expand agriculture-related information at the root level of the village. This center provides training by using laptops, smartphones, internet modems, etc. As a result, the village people know modern agriculture technology and apply it in the practical agricultural field. This helps to improve the economic condition of village people, and this sector contributes to the economy of the country.
Agriculture Call Center
The authority established an agriculture call center in 2014, whose number is 16123. So, the people can solve their various agriculture-related issues by taking guidance from experts in agriculture through this call center. The authority started this call center with the aim of spreading agriculture-related modern technology, services, and information to the farmers and people related to agriculture in our country.
E-book
This organization publishes e-books or digital books combining text content, audio, video, and annotations so that people can easily understand various agriculture-related issues. This organization maintains a web portal (www.ais.gov.bd) and updates this portal on a regular basis. Besides this, the AIS built two mobile apps named “Krishi Kata” and “Krishi Totho Service.” The AIS established 10 modern ICT labs in 10 agricultural areas.
